Our Team is Growing!

We are happy to welcome Eowyn to our team! Professional Genealogist, Eowyn Langholf, has recently joined our IIGS team. With her years of experience in genealogy research, and her great sense of humour, she has quickly become an important member of our team. Eowyn will be primarily working on the administrative side of IIGS. She will be assisting Sue de Groot with curiculum as well as working alongside Executive Director Angela Breidenbach with various other administrative tasks. You may have already met Eowyn on our website chat app where she is happy to help students with their inquiries. Eowyn fell in love with genealogy at the age of 14, tagging along with her mom during volunteer shifts at what are now FamilySearch Centers. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a lifelong passion. For over 30 years, Eowyn has explored family history as both a hobbyist and, since 2009, as a professional. She’s been the “Forest Elf” overseeing the vibrant WikiTree community since 2012, where she oversees day-to-day management, supports members, and helps keep the collaborative tree growing strong. In 2015, Eowyn served as the “Cousin Coordinator” for the Global Family Reunion alongside author A.J. Jacobs, helping connect thousands of people to their place in the human family. Eowyn is especially passionate about helping others discover the power of connection through family history.
