The National Institute for Genealogical Studies / International Institute of Genealogical Studies offers FREE Virtual Meetings every month. We invite you to join us on Monday, December 12th for a Double-Header.
First at 1:30 pm Eastern, Claire Bradley will present “5 Things You Didn’t Know About Irish Research” in our December Student Lounge Virtual Meeting, followed by a time for Q&A. This will be a great opportunity to meet our new Director of Irish Studies! This session will be recorded and the replay will be available on our YouTube channel.
Biography: Claire Bradley is a professional genealogist based in Dublin, Ireland. She holds a Certificate in Family History from University College Dublin and an MA in the History of the Family from the University of Limerick. As well as taking on research for clients, Claire teaches a bi-annual adult education course in researching family history in Dublin, and regularly gives lectures to family and local history societies. She is a former chairperson of the Ireland Branch of the Irish Genealogical Research Society and also helps run the popular Boards.ie genealogy forum. Her particular interests are genetic genealogy, Irish Quakers and Dublin records. Her website is www.cbgenealogy.ie

At 3 pm Eastern, Jennifer Roodzant will be our host for the December DNA Virtual Meeting, when she will discuss “What’s New at AncestryDNA.” You may remember that Jennifer was our Student Lounge special guest when she presented: ”Clustering DNA Matches with Gephi to Pinpoint Genetic Networks” in October 2022. The video replay is available on our YouTube Channel.
Biography: Jennifer Roodzant is a professional genealogist and speaker specializing in DNA and southern United States research. She volunteers as secretary for the Napa Valley Genealogical Society. She is a certificate holder in Genealogical Research from Boston University and ProGen Study Groups. Jennifer applies the Genealogical Proof Standard to resolve complex research objectives.

In top menu bar, select Information.
In the dropdown menu, select Virtual Learning Room.
Click the virtual meeting name in list (a new window will open).
Click on Check Time to see the time in your local time zone.
Then simply click on the Genealogical Studies Virtual Meeting Room link at the scheduled time.
