All current and past students will receive an email prompting a login to change your password. Please do not choose the same one you had before. This security measure protects your information. You will then be able to access your Student Briefcase (online student account) on the new IIGS website.

To answer a few questions for you: Yes, once this site is up and running properly, we do have more expansion plans. But we’ll reveal those as we get to them later this fall. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the information we have to share.

• Yes, all your courses and assignments will transfer.
• Yes, we are capturing all your purchases from the old site.
• Yes, we have access to the old site.
• Yes, this is a completely different website with a completely different code.
• Yes, if you’ve earned past certificates, all of your certificates will be digitally available to you to post on your own websites and social media as soon as possible, but sometime in October/November.
• Yes, we will get much more interactive.
• Our website is fully functional. And, we are adding new features regularly.
• Why did we build the new site? Our website was over 20 years old and full of pretty old code. The old site wasn’t able to keep up with the demands of our trade school. The hard work our tech team has done and will continue to do for IIGS is crucial to continue into the future.
• Probably something will pop up that we didn’t foresee. If that’s the case, we’ll be on it as soon as possible. This new site is awesome on responsiveness and flexibility.

Once you have signed in with your new password, take time to explore everything the new GenealogicalStudies.com website has to offer. There are new features like the event calendar right on your dashboard with easy to see announcements! In the dashboard calendar, all virtual meetings link to the meetings. The site is easier to navigate, gorgeous, and much more intuitive. Register for new courses, order printed course materials and required books right in the same site now! Access the IIGS blog, social media accounts, and more from your briefcase (student account) on the new site!
