March is upon us, as we are preparing for the launch of RootsTech 2022. Once again, the conference will be virtual, with more than 1,500 sessions on 185 topics in over 30 languages. We are anticipating record numbers of attendees again this year. There will be plenty of Learning opportunities to explore and you are sure to discover new topics presented by new speakers, along with many familiar offerings. A common theme woven through the sessions is Sharing our family’s stories and Preserving the documents that help us to tell those stories. Search the sessions for your topics of interest. Remember – recorded sessions from past RootsTech conferences are also available.
Be sure to visit The National Institute for Genealogical Studies’ virtual booth in the Expo Hall to check out our Conference Discounts and download our handouts. The Expo Hall will open on Wednesday evening.

Many with Irish origins will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day this month. Are there Irish family traditions that you will be observing with your family this year? It is important to preserve your family stories and traditions for future generations.
We have an Irish Certificate program, but any of our Irish research courses can be used as electives as well. Other courses that may be of interest are: Demystifying Culture & Folklore [starting on April 4th] and Research: Social History [starting on May 2nd].
