Certificate Programs

If you are planning on taking several courses at The National Institute for Genealogical Studies, our certificate programs may be of interest to you. We have combined many courses into convenient themed packages, but the main foundation of our online education program is our Professional Learning Certificates. The Methodology Certificate is the foundation in every certificate program. Choose from one of our nine Country-themed certificates, DNA Strategies, Librarianship, or Professional Development certificate. We are confident there will be a program just right for you. Compulsory courses from one certificate can be used as electives towards a second or third certificate, allowing you to complete more than one certificate without taking an additional 40 courses for each one.

Our featured Certificate program for RootsTech 2021 is our Eastern European Records Certificate Program written by Lisa Alzo.
