Looking for more information about Australian genealogy research? Professional genealogist and author Kerry Farmer hosts our Australian Records Virtual Meeting. This week’s Virtual Meeting will feature the topic,  “Migration schemes to New South Wales.”

Kerry Farmer is a researcher, presenter and teacher in family history and genealogical studies. Kerry has been teaching classes in Sydney since 1997. She is on the Education Committee of the Society of Australian Genealogists, and presents seminars and classes there as well as at genealogical conferences and other venues.

Following a background in science and programming and systems analysis, one of Kerry’s special interests has been the various software packages used to record family history research. Her book “Which Genealogy Program?” was published in 2010. Her book “DNA for Genealogists” was published in 2011, a third edition is being published in 2015. Her new book “Arrivals in Australia from 1788” is expected to be published in March 2015.

Kerry undertakes research assignments on request. She has researched her own family history for over 25 years, researching ancestors predominantly from Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales but with diversions tackling family branches in Canada, United States, South Africa, India, Germany, Poland, Norway and Russia.
