Claire Bradley is a professional genealogist based in Dublin, Ireland. She holds a Certificate in Family History from University College Dublin and an MA in the History of the Family from the University of Limerick.
New Director of Italian Studies
Melanie Holtz joins us as our new Director of Italian Studies at International Institute of Genealogical Studies. She will host our Italian Virtual Meetings, as well as updating and adding new Italian courses to our Italian Records packages. So if you were waiting, rev up those genealogy engines for Italian research!
Melanie Holtz is the owner of Lo Schiavo Genealogica, LLC and author of the Family Tree Italian Genealogy Guide. She is an experienced professional genealogist specializing in Italian genealogy and reclaiming Italian citizenship via jure sanguinis.
Melanie has more than 20 years of experience in Italian genealogical research and Italian dual citizenship. She lectures on Italian research, Italian dual citizenship, professional development, and genealogical standards. She’s prepared courses and articles on Italian research for Family Tree University, the International Institute of Genealogical Research (where she is now the Director of Italian Studies), Family Tree Magazine, Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh, Virtual Institute of Genealogical Research, and a variety of other organizations.
