Our students at The International Institute of Genealogical Studies are looking forward to a new month and preparing for new online courses opening this week. On the first Monday of every month, a new round of courses begins, each created to enhance their genealogical knowledge. Their selections have been chosen from over 230 genealogy and research courses. Some courses follow a specific country theme, while others focus on methodology and building research skills. No matter your topic of interest, there will always be another course to pique your curiosity and lead you to more research discoveries.
Our February schedule includes several courses for gathering genealogically-relevant information. Learn all you can about your topic. Search out the historical events that earlier generations of your family experienced. Were they observers or participants? Then writing out your family stories. What a great way to preserve your family’s heritage and pass on memories of generations past to the next generations.
