Our courses at The National Institute for Genealogical Studies begin on the first Monday of the month. You can browse our list of 230+ courses here. If you find a course of interest, click on the course title to view the Course Description and details.
When you are ready to register for a new course, click the Register Tab. You will see the date the next course will start (Monday, August 2, 2021).
You can click the drop-down menu to see a list of alternative start dates for this course. Choose a date and then click Register.
In your Student Brief Case, scroll down to Future Courses. You will see the list of your registered courses with the scheduled date for them to open (August 2, 2021).
As that day approaches, you may find that this date is no longer convenient. Life happens! Changing the date that your course will open is easy.
To change the start date, click on the date. A new pop-up window will open.
Click on the drop-down menu with the scheduled date to see future available dates.
Choose a new date (September 6, 2021).
PLEASE NOTE: The scheduled date has NOT changed yet! You must click the Change Date button to complete the change. Then the pop-up window will close and your new start date will be displayed beside your course.
Be sure to check the start dates for your courses at the end of each month to ensure they will open when you are ready to work on them.
Note: Open courses will always display their completion date. You will not be able to access the course past this date.
